Knights of the Guild
Hi my name is Kenny.. I was born and raised in Southern California. I'm currently working as a Post Production Supervisor for various television shows. I'm an avid TV watcher. I use to watch about 25 hours of TV a week but as free time has gotten more and more rare I have cut back quite a bit. I'm an avid Movie watcher also, my favorites are Fantasy/Sci Fi, but I do enjoy all types of movies. Everyone tells me I would make a horrible Movie critic because my movie watching philosophy is if the movie was entertaining then I like it. Never mind the bad script or acting.. if I was entertained then it gets a thumbs up by me. Another big obsession of mine is Collecting, from action figures to cards, from DVD's to magazines. I have a thing for Movie/TV related items. I have action figures from Star Trek, Star Wars, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Buffy and Angel, Charmed, and so many more.
I found The Guild through The Treks in Sci Fi fan forums, which I co-moderate. The owner of the forums posted a link to The Guild. I watched the first episode and was hooked. I quickly watched the remaining four episodes as I think they were only up to episode five at the time. Then I watched as the released the other five. I quickly became a huge fan and when they asked for volunteers for season two I quickly through my hat in. At first I offered my talents and facility as post production supervisor but what I really want to do was some behind the scenes for their DVD. I know that DVD sales are important to web series, as this is where they can make some money back. In order to sell DVD’s I thought they should have a good number of really cool BTS pieces and who better to make them then a huge fan. I suggested this to Kim and Felicia and they liked the idea so I volunteered to produce, shot and edit the BTS stuff from their second season DVD and continued to do the same on their season three DVD and finally moved to full time podcasting for them for Season Four. After filming the second season of The Guild I wanted to do a podcast on a topic that wasn’t really out there and I thought why not The Guild. It’s a great series and no one else is doing one. So I got Felicia’s permission and asked my friend Jenni/Guild co-worker if she wanted to co-host and the rest as they say is history. I hope you enjoy the podcast. I also produce, edit and co-host MASH 4077 Podcast, The Geek Roundtable Podcast, We Are NerdStrong Podcast, Confessions of a Fanboy Podcast, My Gimpy Life Podcast, and Alien Nation: The Newcomers Podcast.
Hey guys, Jenni Powell here! I began my career in entertainment at the age of 5 when my parents gave me a Fisher-Price tape recorder, which I used to make radio shows of my daily life such as "Brushing Teeth Time!" and the ever popular "Locking Little Sister in the Closet". Years later, my credits now include stints as Production Assistant on "LonelyGirl15" and "The Guild", Associate Producer on "With the Angels", Post-Production Coordinator on season 1 of the Lifetime series "Lisa Williams: Life Among the Dead", and 2nd Assistant Director on the independent short film "September 12th", which is currently running the film festival circuit. I am also a lighting and sound technician, having spent a year as the Head Tech at the Upright Citizen's Brigade Theatre in Los Angeles. When I'm not doing all that, I'm a fan of ARG's (Alternate Reality Games) as well as many internet series (I basically live on the internet). Also, my parents are Civil War Re-enactors. And I like cheese.
